You know, I didn't take any photos while we dyed eggs this year! What was I thinking? We even dyed them with natural dye. We used coffee(yes, coffee) for brown. When I boiled the eggs in the coffee, man did they look like chocolate! Beets for magenta/pink. Red cabbage for blue and tumeric for yellow. By double dipping we made green, orange and purple. We did a few other fun things like taking leaves of different varieties and placing them on the un dyed egg, then wrapping the egg in pantyhose before dying. Once the egg was unwrapped and the leaf removed, where the leaf had been was still white. Pretty cool.
On Easter eve we had our favorite Elder's over. Elder Knowlton is leaving next week to go home, and Elder Bishop will follow in August. They are our AP's and since I am RS President I have had the pleasure of working more with them. They are both the most wonderful young men. We made pizza and had a good time. Our home is always filled with the spirit when they visit.
Easter was a good day. Jack was up at 6. I guess he holds the Easter bunny up there with Santa. He couldn't wait for Rachael to wake up, so he helped her out. By 6:18 they were both down stairs hunting for their baskets. Hannah didn't mosey down until 8:30 I think!
After church we snapped a few pictures in our special duds. We got a few good shots, so for those of you who didn't peek at them on Facebook, here they are again. Around 3 we had company over for lunch and a massive egg hunt. The kids had a blast and the food was yummy. A nice way to celebrate the day.
