First Day 2011

Back to school!!! Can't believe it. Rachael has been so excited. For a month now she has asked every night if in the morning she starts kindergarten! We set all the kids alarm clocks last night. Rachael woke up first, came down stairs and was so proud. Jack must have switched his off before bed last night. For whatever reason that boy has anxiety over sounds. Hannah actually got up on her own. That was a miracle. In the past I have had to get her up, and that was no easy task!!!! I am surprised she got up because at 2 am she was waking me up saying she couldn't sleep. She was not worried about school at this point, but now worried that because it was so late she would be to tired if she did end up falling asleep! Why do I have such worrisome children?
All went well on the drop offs. We took our neighbors boy, as we are car pooling with them. We have this week for morning drop off and they will have next week. Hannah was going to take the bus, but I decided last minute to take her myself on the first day. I am glad I did.
I can't wait to hear how their days went. Rachael got her favorite teacher. Jack got a new teacher. Well, she is new to us. She had taught at the school some years back but left to attend Seminary School. She is very well respected by her fellow teachers so we are thrilled! Hannah doesn't find out her schedule until she walks through the doors. We do know one teacher however. She's running track so we know the coach since she has been running with him this summer.
I don't know what I will do with myself. I am on the PTO board again and am going to be Rachael's room mom. This will keep me busy. I guess now I will have more time to do RS stuff, run errands, clean my house and have it stay clean for at least a few hours!
