It's been raining quiet a bit here lately, and when it rains in Mississippi, boy does it rain! So far though it hasn't been grey all day. It will pour, then the sun comes out. The kids are always wanting to play in the puddles but for some reason never make it outside in time. I try to encourage them to head out right after or during the rain if we are home, but Jack says he doesn't want to get wet? What's wrong with that boy? I remind him that with his rain coat and boots he will stay dry.
Yesterday they came downstairs armed and ready for puddle jumping. Alas they were a little too late as the puddles had already soaked in. They had a good time though searching for mud in the less grassy areas and then complained that it was too hot for coats!
Guess I need to invest in a rain coat so I can take them on an adventure in the rain next time. An umbrella just won't do in these situations. You need 2 hands to have an adventure!

Cute cute photos. How fun that they have eachother to play with. I miss rain. Real rain that stays for a minute or two and leaves the grass green. Sigh..
Cute rain gear! You are a a good mom. I am too mean to let my kids step foot outside in the rain.
Hey Elizabeth! I'm sure I speak for thousands across the US when I say that Mississippi was absolutely my favorite state to spell as a kid :) It still is! M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I -- so much fun!
I'm glad the move went so well, and that you're adjusting so quickly to your new home. What a fantastic blessing. That's wonderful things are going so well.
Looks like I'll be in Athens, GA in October, but that still looks pretty far from you guys....Any plans to come to CA in near future?
